I just made my second trip over to the Adams 12 STEM Magnet Lab School to work with Dr. Gregg Cannady. Before we started work on the system I got to meet Principle Dr. Penny Eucker and gave her an overview of the lab setup and the 9 Box method. We all had a great discussion on the potential for the lab.
Gregg and I:
- Updated firmware on 6 Percussa AudioCubes
- Installed Percussa's FREE MIDI Bridge App
- Installed Midi Yoke
- Download links and installed Ableton Templates
- Upgraded Ableton Live to current version
So at this point I have about 3 hours of install work to unbox and install software and configure (while taking time to explain the concept along the way). The system is ready to play!
I spent about 5 minutes explaining how the 9 Box works and then shot this video of Gregg’s first time working with the system.
One key thing to remember about this system is it’s not limited to electronic music and can be used for any type of music or sound.
So far so good.
